Bonanza Ranch and La Pampa Ranch are located on the same 5,486-acre free-range estate in the Quehue Valley, sixty-two miles from Santa Rosa City. Bonanza Ranch is the largest and most comprehensively equipped big game property in the Pointer collection. Six double rooms accommodate up to twelve hunters overlooking the hills and ravines of the Quehue Valley.

The property offers more than 5,486 acres of free-range hunting along with an additional 470-acre high-fence area, providing one of the most extensive hunting territories in the collection. Rental rifles are available in multiple calibers, bowhunting is offered for all primary species, the Making Changes Now conservation program is actively supported, and Red Stag score upgrades are available for hunters pursuing Gold Medal-class trophies.

La Pampa Ranch is the most intimate and private big game lodge in the Pointer collection. Three double rooms accommodate a maximum of six hunters on the same 5,486-acre estate as Bonanza Ranch while maintaining a one-to-one hunter-to-guide ratio throughout the program.

The lodge features the finest rental rifle collection in the Pointer Big Game program and offers guests the unique experience of hearing Red Stag roaring across the pampas during the March and April rut before heading into the field at first light.

BONANZA RANCH OR LA PAMPA RANCH?

Getting to Rosy Billed Lodge is the simplest journey in the entire Pointer collection. International flights arrive at Ministro Pistarini Airport (EZE) in Buenos Aires, where a Pointer representative meets guests and drives directly to the lodge. There are no domestic flights, airport transfers, or additional connections required. You land in Buenos Aires and approximately two hours later arrive at the lodge. This proximity also makes Rosy Billed an ideal add-on for guests already traveling through Buenos Aires for other Pointer hunting programs.

Both lodges share access to the same eleven trophy species and the same 5,486-acre free-range hunting estate. The choice depends on group size, desired level of personal attention, and preferred lodge atmosphere.

Complete trophy handling is included, including field preparation, caping, skull preparation, transportation to the broker in Buenos Aires, CITES documentation where applicable, export paperwork, and coordination with established taxidermy and shipping partners. Guests enjoy gourmet Argentine cuisine prepared by experienced chefs, featuring local game, fine Argentine wines, a full open bar, and premium beverages throughout each stay. Pointer provides complete assistance with Argentine firearm import procedures for hunters bringing their own rifles. Santa Rosa Airport (RSA) – Approximately 90 Minutes

GETTING TO THE LA PAMPA PROPERTIES

Bonanza Ranch and La Pampa Ranch are located sixty-two miles from Santa Rosa City in the Quehue Valley of La Pampa Province, approximately four hundred miles from Buenos Aires. International travelers arrive through Buenos Aires Ezeiza Airport (EZE) before transferring to Jorge Newbery Airfield (AEP) for domestic flights to Santa Rosa. A minimum connection time of four hours is recommended between international and domestic flights because transfers between EZE and AEP may take up to two hours depending on traffic. Pointer arranges all ground transportation in Buenos Aires as well as airport pickup at Santa Rosa Airport. Domestic flights are primarily operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas, while private charter flights from Buenos Aires are also available upon request. Major international gateway cities include Miami, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, and New York. Airlines serving these routes include American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Copa Airlines, LATAM, Iberia, and British Airways.

GETTING TO SAN FERNANDO LODGE

San Fernando Lodge can be reached through either San Luis Airport or Córdoba International Airport, allowing travelers flexibility based on their preferred routing and overall itinerary. All international arrivals enter Argentina through Buenos Aires Ezeiza Airport before connecting to domestic flights. A minimum four-hour connection is recommended between international and domestic flights to allow sufficient time for airport transfers. Pointer assists guests in selecting the most convenient routing and coordinates all ground transportation.

Yes. Hunters may stay at one lodge while visiting the other for specific hunting days if the professional hunting team identifies opportunities that match the hunter’s goals. Since both lodges share the same estate, programs can be customized accordingly.

Most hunting takes place across the 5,486-acre free-range estate where wildlife lives and develops naturally. The separate 470-acre high-fence area is used only for selected programs and species when management considerations apply.

Peak Red Stag rut dates in March and April should ideally be booked six to twelve months in advance. Hunts during May through July generally offer greater availability, although early booking is always recommended.

No. All hunts are conducted on foot and by vehicle alongside professional hunters. Horses and hunting dogs are not part of the program.

Yes. Non-hunting guests are welcome at all Pointer Big Game lodges. The team can also arrange local sightseeing and activities while hunters are in the field.
