WHAT WE OFFER

Red Stag

The flagship species of the Pointer Big Game program. Argentine Red Stag have developed exceptional trophy quality over more than a century in the pampas, while the March and April rut provides the most dramatic big game hunting experience in South America.

Water Buffalo

Large, powerful, and potentially dangerous, Water Buffalo provide the most physically demanding hunt in the Argentine program. Success requires complete preparation and the guidance of an experienced professional hunter.

Blackbuck Antelope

One of Argentina's most visually spectacular trophies. The striking coloration and spiraling horns make Blackbuck Antelope one of the most desirable species in the collection, while the open pampas create a challenging hunting experience.

Wild Boar

Wild Boar are available throughout the hunting season across both provinces. Tough, intelligent, and unpredictable, they provide exciting hunting that perfectly complements Red Stag and Antelope hunts.

ABOUT POINTER BIG GAME

The Argentine big game season runs from March through July, providing five months of exceptional hunting across San Luis and La Pampa Provinces. Both provinces support outstanding free-range populations of Red Stag, Water Buffalo, Blackbuck Antelope, and Wild Boar on private hunting estates where animals develop naturally to their full trophy potential.

Every Pointer Big Game hunt is conducted on private land with experienced professional hunters. Spot-and-stalk hunting through the dense bush and ravines of La Pampa is the primary method used for most species. Guides remain alongside hunters throughout each day, reading the terrain, locating and evaluating animals, and positioning hunters for the highest quality shot opportunities.

The March and April Red Stag rut represents the most sought-after period of the season. During this time, stags roar before sunrise while actively pursuing hinds, making them more visible and vulnerable than at any other point in the year. Hearing a roaring stag at first light and stalking into range of a mature trophy animal is considered one of the greatest big game hunting experiences in the world.

THE HUNTING

Pointer Wing Shooting was the first outfitter in Argentina to establish a formal conservation program specifically dedicated to the bird and wetland habitats that support our hunting programs.

Through our nonprofit Making Changes Now we fund ongoing biological research into dove populations, duck populations, wetland health, and the environmental factors that affect bird numbers across the provinces where we operate.

We support Ducks Unlimited, Delta Waterfowl, and the Coastal Conservation Association in the United States and we take the long-term health of the resources our guests come to experience as personally as we take the quality of the hunting itself.
