La Salamanca is a traditional lodge with a relaxing natural garden that sets the mood for a spectacular stay in Argentina’s north.
The house has a Spanish style and has been remodeled into a warm and welcoming hunting lodge that combines classic and modern design in a way that harmonizes with the lush Tucumán landscape surrounding it.
Five spacious individually designed single rooms accommodate up to ten guests with a cozy private atmosphere that makes this an ideal choice for groups who want the full Pointer experience without sharing it with anyone else.
The intimacy of this lodge is one of its most compelling qualities, and the staff reflects that same attentive and personal approach at every level of the stay.

The Anta Valley in Tucumán Province is one of Argentina’s most productive agricultural regions, creating exceptional year-round populations of dove and pigeon. Vast wheat, sorghum, soybean, corn, and peanut fields, combined with large cattle feedlots, provide a constant food source that supports outstanding bird numbers throughout the season.
Hunting opportunities vary with the time of year and include flyway shooting between roosts and feeding areas, feedlot and crop field shooting during peak feeding periods, and temporary roost locations that protect primary populations. Each morning begins with a breakfast briefing before a twenty to forty-minute drive to the field, followed by morning shooting, a traditional Argentine asado with Malbec at midday, and an afternoon session before returning to the lodge.
La Salamanca is also one of the few Pointer lodges offering both dove and pigeon hunting. Picazuro and Spot-winged Pigeons share the valley’s abundant food sources but demand a more deliberate approach, with concealed blinds, decoy spreads, and patient shooting rewarding hunters with a distinctly different challenge.

At La Salamanca, the cuisine reflects the rich heritage of Northern Argentina, where generations of tradition are expressed through every meal. Corn remains at the heart of the regional kitchen, appearing in iconic dishes such as humita, served both al plato and en chala.
Tucumán’s identity as Argentina’s sugar capital shines through its desserts. Guests enjoy handcrafted alfeñiques, cane honey alfajores, gaznates filled with dulce de leche, and other regional specialties rooted in centuries of tradition.
The lodge’s northern-style empanadas are among its most memorable dishes. Juicy, hand-cut, and seasoned with cumin and paprika, they are baked in a traditional clay oven that gives them their distinctive flavor and finish.

La Salamanca operates Pointer’s two-gun-per-hunter policy at every blind.
If a gun jams or misfires, your field assistant swaps it immediately and takes the other to camp for service without interrupting your shooting.
All guns are cleaned once daily.
