Rosy Billed Lodge is a family ranch set in the heart of the Buenos Aires Province cattle country, two hours from Ezeiza International Airport, surrounded by the natural lagoons that support one of the most diverse and extraordinary duck hunting programs in South America. Rosy Billed Lodge is not a purpose-built hunting facility. It is a genuine family ranch that has been transformed over the last decade by its owner Federico into one of the warmest and most welcoming hunting lodges in the Pointer collection. Built in the mid-fifties in classic Argentine style with spacious rooms, private bathrooms, and a large living room anchored by a fire pit and pool table, the lodge has a relaxed and social atmosphere that immediately makes groups feel at home. Six spacious bedrooms accommodate up to twelve guests, combining excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and a genuine Argentine country experience. The entrance sits directly beside the asphalt road, making arrivals and departures effortless, while the surrounding Buenos Aires Province landscape creates a seamless transition from lodge to lagoon every morning.

Duck hunting at Rosy Billed Lodge follows the traditional style that many dedicated waterfowl hunters consider the purest form of the sport. Rather than large-volume shooting, hunting here centers on calling birds into carefully positioned decoy spreads across natural lagoons. Birds arrive in pairs and small groups, creating a patient, deliberate, and highly rewarding experience. The day begins around six in the morning with breakfast before a twenty to forty-minute drive to the day’s hunting location. Hunters are positioned at the lagoon edge with decoy spreads already deployed and calls ready. Birds approach cautiously, allowing hunters to identify species, work the call effectively, and take deliberate shots. Morning sessions continue through late morning before returning to the lodge for lunch and a traditional siesta. Afternoon hunts begin around three o’clock for the evening flight.
When conditions allow, guests may add afternoon perdiz hunting to their stay. Hunters are paired with a personal guide and pointing dog and hunt the surrounding fields in the traditional walked-up style.
The cuisine at Rosy Billed Lodge reflects the Argentine gaucho tradition at its most abundant and welcoming. Beef from the Buenos Aires Province cattle country forms the foundation of every meal. Traditional cuts including matambrito de cerdo, ojo de bife, bife de chorizo, asado de tira, and entraña appear regularly alongside Italian and Spanish influences that define the Buenos Aires culinary tradition. Fresh pasta, exceptional local ice cream, and classic Argentine favorites create a dining experience built around hospitality and celebration. Duck harvested during the hunt frequently appears on the menu, prepared with regional herbs and local ingredients that bring the day’s experience directly to the table. Argentine wines accompany lunch and dinner, while dulce de leche desserts and traditional mate complete every meal.
Rosy Billed Lodge operates Pointer’s two-gun-per-hunter policy at every blind. If a gun malfunctions, your field assistant immediately replaces it so your hunting experience continues uninterrupted. All firearms are cleaned and serviced regularly. Wader and hip boot rentals are available at the lodge in all sizes. Please confirm availability and sizing when booking.
Hunters have access to a premium selection of guns including the Benelli Montefeltro 12 Gauge, Benelli M1 Black 12 Gauge, Beretta Urika 391, Beretta A400, Beretta A300, Beretta Silver Pigeon Over and Under, and Browning 525.
Rosy Billed Lodge experiences dramatic temperature variations between day and night throughout the hunting season. Layered clothing is recommended to remain comfortable in changing conditions. At the lodge, casual slacks and sport shirts are all you need for the evenings. Wader and hip boot rentals are available in all sizes and can be arranged in advance through our office when booking.

Getting to Rosy Billed Lodge is the simplest journey in the entire Pointer collection. International flights arrive at Ministro Pistarini Airport (EZE) in Buenos Aires, where a Pointer representative meets guests and drives directly to the lodge. There are no domestic flights, airport transfers, or additional connections required. You land in Buenos Aires and approximately two hours later arrive at the lodge. This proximity also makes Rosy Billed an ideal add-on for guests already traveling through Buenos Aires for other Pointer hunting programs.
