San Javier Lodge is built in the classic 19th-century Argentine estancia style and sits directly alongside the San Javier River, a tributary of the Parana, giving the property a genuine connection to the water that informs every aspect of the experience here.
Eight double and single standard rooms, each with private bathrooms, accommodate up to sixteen guests comfortably. A dining room, sitting room, bar, and swimming pool provide the common spaces where the day begins and ends in the warmth of Argentine hospitality.

San Javier Lodge sits at the center of one of the most extraordinary natural environments in South America. The Parana River system supports over fifteen million ducks annually. Thirty distinct shooting fields cover the fifty-square-mile reserve. The river holds Golden Dorado year-round. Perdiz inhabit the natural grass fields north of the lodge. Dove roosting areas sixty miles to the north provide high-volume shooting throughout the shoulder seasons. The duck program begins at six in the morning with a hearty breakfast before a twenty to forty-minute boat ride through the Parana channels to the shooting field. The ride itself through flooded islands and backwater channels in the pre-dawn darkness is one of the most atmospheric experiences in the entire Pointer program.
Dove shooting at San Javier draws on roosting areas and agricultural fields north of the lodge approximately sixty miles away. The terrain here is flatter than Córdoba, producing different shooting presentations and challenging crossing angles. The volume is equally extraordinary, with more than two hours of peak shooting per session.
The Mixed Bag Program combines duck, dove, and perdiz in a single four-night stay. Morning sessions rotate between duck hunting on the Parana marshlands and perdiz walked up behind pointing dogs in the natural grass fields. Afternoons rotate to dove or duck depending on the day's plan. The perdiz hunting is conducted in the classic walked-up style in small groups of two behind well-trained dogs.
During the shoulder seasons, San Javier offers the Cast and Blast program that has made it famous among hunters and anglers who want both in a single trip. Mornings are spent in the dove fields, and afternoons are spent on the river chasing Golden Dorado.
San Javier is one of the premier Golden Dorado fly fishing destinations in the world. The Parana River system produces this legendary species year-round in exceptional numbers, and the lodge's position directly on the river gives anglers immediate access to productive water from first light. Beyond Dorado, the Parana system also holds Pacu, Pira Pita, Surubi, and Boga, providing additional variety throughout the fishing program.

The kitchen at San Javier draws on the rich traditions of the Central-East region of Argentina where the Parana River and the humid Pampas give rise to a sophisticated and deeply satisfying table. River fish are the stars of the house. Dorado and Surubi are prepared with techniques that honor their freshness, whether grilled over wood, en papillote, or in reductions of their own broth.
Game from the field completes the menu. Duck breast, perdiz, and dove are prepared daily with regional herbs and Argentine techniques that bring the full character of each bird to the plate. The asado fires burn every evening, Argentine wine flows throughout the meal, and dulce de leche closes every dinner in traditional Argentine style.
San Javier operates Pointer’s two-gun-per-hunter policy at every blind for all wing-shooting programs. If a gun jams or misfires, your field assistant swaps it immediately without interrupting your shooting. All guns are cleaned and serviced routinely. Wader and hip boot rentals are available at the lodge in all sizes for the duck hunting program.

All international connections route through Buenos Aires Ezeiza Airport (EZE). Upon arrival, transfer to Jorge Newbery Airfield (AEP) for the domestic connection.
