La Loma is a historic Argentine estancia built in the early twentieth century, where timeless character meets modern comfort. High ceilings, generous common areas, a fireplace lounge, and natural grounds create an atmosphere that feels both elegant and inviting. Renovated in 2014, the lodge preserves its heritage while offering the standard of comfort Pointer guests expect. With nine rooms across the main house and north wing, La Loma accommodates up to twelve guests with the warmth and privacy of a refined Argentine home rather than a commercial lodge.

La Loma’s location is its defining advantage. Sitting between the two largest dove roosts in all of Córdoba means field rides run just ten to forty minutes and the birds are moving from first light every single morning.
Seventy percent of the time we hunt the rolling Sierras hills, a dry terrain of rocks, thorny brush, and dramatic ridgelines that produces varied and exciting shooting from every angle. The remaining thirty percent is flatland shooting over harvested crop fields and feedlots where birds concentrate in extraordinary numbers during certain windows of the year.
Your guide briefs the day’s plan at breakfast before an eight o’clock departure to the field. Three hours of shooting, an Argentine asado in the field with Malbec at midday, hammocks for the siesta, then back out for the afternoon session.

Between roosting area and feeding fields. The most traditional and consistently productive option available year round.
Harvested soy, corn, and sorghum fields offering concentrated feeding activity. Best from March to May.
Extraordinary bird concentrations around large cattle operations. Best from March to July.
Peak activity during the hot summer months. Best from October to April.
Temporary roosting fields producing shooting in both directions during hatch periods. Available seasonally without affecting the primary roost population.
Arrive Córdoba Airport, transfer to the field, shoot or lunch depending on schedule, siesta, afternoon shoot, lodge dinner and overnight.

At Estancia La Loma the kitchen honors the deep criollo traditions of the Córdoba countryside. The Cordobés goat raised free-range on natural grasses is the signature of the central lodges and the most talked-about dish in the Pointer culinary program.
Slow-cooked a la cruz over an open fire for more than three hours until the meat is tender and the skin crisps to perfection, it is a genuinely memorable experience.
Dove from the day’s hunt is brought to the table with distinction, including Dove Tempura served on arrival with a Malbec and Mushroom Risotto with Chimichurri Dove, one of the most renowned appetizers across all Pointer lodges.
A professional chef prepares every meal from fresh local ingredients, the wine cellar is stocked with exceptional Argentine selections, and the open bar ensures the evening is never lacking.

La Loma operates Pointer’s two-gun-per-hunter policy at every blind. If a gun jams or misfires, your field assistant swaps it immediately and takes the other to camp for service without interrupting your shooting. All guns are cleaned once daily.
